We accept contemporary high end luxury clothing, shoes and accessories for resale on a consignment basis. Items are evaluated and approved for our collection at our sole discretion, and we reserve the right to reject or remove items from inclusion in our inventory at any time without cause.
WHAT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Our buying standards are constantly adapting to trends in demand and fluctuating inventory levels. ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEANED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND BE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. We have curated a list of commonly consigned designers, but feel free to inquire about our current needs via email at email@example.com.
Shoes need to be preapproved before your consignment appointment. Please send a video or three photos of the shoes (both sides and soles) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT SEASON ARE YOU ACCEPTING?
WE ARE ACCEPTING FOR THE FALL/WINTER SEASON. We encourage consignors to bring in items for consignment as early in the season as possible in order to maximize their opportunity to sell at full price before our designated markdown season.
CONSIGNMENT IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Appointments are available seven days a week, but all consignors must be pre-approved for a designated time slot via email, phone, or in-person. We will try our best to accommodate walk-ins, but please note that any merchandise left in our possession unattended is eligible for donation.

Due to fluctuations of value in the secondhand market, we do not price items immediately upon intake. Rather, we send an itemized list via email pairing descriptions of newly consigned merchandise with what we have determined to be their optimal retail prices at a later date. PLEASE NOTE THAT this CAN sometimes TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS. The consignor must contact us within 48 hours of when the itemized list is sent in order to dispute and/or reject any prices which do not meet their approval. If the consignor does not communicate disapproval within this two-day window, their prices will be presumed satisfactory and their items made for sale as marked.
Store credit allows the consignor to receive 50% commission on the selling price of each item. This commission will be credited to the consignor’s account immediately upon the sale of an item. Under store credit, the consignor’s commission funds will continue to accumulate with every sale until re- deemed towards a purchase. Store credit does not expire.
Check payment allows the consignor to receive 40% commission on the selling price of all clothing, shoes, and accessories, and 50% on the selling price of all designer handbags and fine jewelry. Commission funds are immediately credited to the consignor’s account upon a sale, and will accumulate with any additional sales over the course of the month. At the start of the following month, the consignor’s account balance is issued into a check, which will be mailed out between the 15th-31st of the month. Please note that a $5 printing and processing fee will be deducted from each check issued. After fees are deducted, resulting balances under $25 will remain in the consignor’s account until commission funds reach the necessary amount. Please note that we no longer offer check pick up as an option.
Consignment Brooklyn is not responsible for any article of lost or stolen mail. All change-of-addresses must be communicated in writing before the 1st of the following month, or else the consignor is held responsible for payment mailed to a previous address. To cancel and reprint a check will subject the consignor to a $35 fee.
- ELECTRONICALLY (VENMO/CHASE QUICKPAY)
Electronic payment allows the consignor to receive 40% commission on the selling price of all clothing, shoes, and accessories, and 50% on the selling price of all designer handbags and fine jewelry. Commission funds are immediately credited to the consignor’s account upon a sale, and will accumulate with any additional sales over the course of the month. After information is exchanged between parties, the consignor’s monthly commission payment will be fulfilled between the 15th and the 31st of the following month via Venmo or Chase QuickPay. Please note that a $5 processing fee will be deducted from every electronic payment issued. After fees are deducted, resulting balances under $25 will remain in the consignor’s account until the consignor’s commission funds reach the necessary amount.
All reductions in price are taken from both parties’ portion of the profit. Consignments may be marked down at any time without warning up to 20% off original price. MARKDOWNS ABOVE 20% OCCUR DURING OUR BIANNUAL SALE SEASON. Consignors have the option to retrieve their consigned merchandise before the sale season begins, but they must do so within the following windows of time:
SPRING/SUMMER: June 1 - June 15
FALL/WINTER: December 1 - December 15
RESORT: April 1- April 15

While we are unable to notify our consignors of every individual sale, you may register for our consignor portal via the company website to check on your available inventory. All account and payment inquiries should be submitted via email in order to ensure proper handling and transfer of information.
