Our buying standards are constantly adapting to trends in demand and fluctuating inventory levels. ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEANED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND BE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. We have curated a list of commonly consigned designers, but feel free to inquire about our current needs via email at consign@consignmentbrooklyn.com.

 

WHAT SEASON ARE YOU ACCEPTING?

WE ARE ACCEPTING FOR THE SPRING/SUMMER SEASON THROUGH JULY 1ST. We encourage consignors to bring in items for consignment as early in the season as possible in order to maximize their opportunity to sell at full price before our designated markdown season.

 

CONSIGNMENT IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Appointments are available seven days a week, but all consignors must be pre-approved for a designated time slot via email, phone, or in-person. We will try our best to accommodate walk-ins, but please note that any merchandise left in our possession unattended is eligible for donation.

INVENTORY PRICING

Due to fluctuations of value in the secondhand market, we do not price items immediately upon intake. Rather, we send an itemized list via email pairing descriptions of newly consigned merchandise with what we have determined to be their optimal retail prices at a later date. PLEASE NOTE THAT this CAN sometimes TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS. The consignor must contact us within 48 hours of when the itemized list is sent in order to dispute and/or reject any prices which do not meet their approval. If the consignor does not communicate disapproval within this two-day window, their prices will be presumed satisfactory and their items made for sale as marked. 

 

MONEY MATTER$

  • STORE CREDIT:

Choosing store credit allows the consignor to receive 50% of the selling price of each item sold.  This credit will be made immediately available to the consignor upon the sale of each item and will accumulate until redeemed.

  • MONTHLY CHECK:

Choosing to receive a check payment provides the consignor 40% of the selling price of all clothing, shoes, and accessories and 50% of the selling price of all designer handbags and fine jewelry.  These profits are made only upon the individual sale of each item and will accumulate on a monthly basis. *PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TWO OPTIONS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE*

 

MARKDOWNS

All reductions in price are taken from both parties’ portion of the profit. Consignments may be marked down at any time without warning up to 20% off original price. MARKDOWNS ABOVE 20% OCCUR DURING OUR BIANNUAL SALE SEASON. Consignors have the option to retrieve their consigned merchandise before the sale season begins, but they must do so within the following windows of time:

SPRING/SUMMER: June 1 - June 15
FALL/WINTER: December 1 - December 15
RESORT: April 1- April 15

Please note that all requests for returns must be made in writing via email with at least 48 hours advance notice to info@consignmentbrooklyn.com.

 

END OF SEASON
All items remaining unsold at the end of each season are subject to donation. Although we do send out friendly reminders at the end of each season, it is entirely the consignors responsibility to contact us via email if they would like to reclaim any unsold merchandise. 

ALL returns require two business days to process and must be requested and confirmed in writing. Pick up times will only be accommodated SUNDAY – THURSDAY. 

 

ACCOUNT INQUIRIES

While we are unable to notify our consignors of every individual sale, you may register for our consignor portal via the company website to check on your available inventory. All account and payment inquiries should be submitted via email in order to ensure proper handling and transfer of information.
